  • Date/Time: April 23 (Thursday, 6~7PM) and April 29 (Wednesday 6~7PM)

Dear all,

VUOM is pleased to offer two 1-hour training sessions on Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in April.

  • HIPAA training session covers patient rights, physical safeguards against privacy breaches, technical safeguards against security breaches, and etc.
  • OSHA training session covers the recognition, avoidance, and prevention of safety and health hazards in clinic.

These training sessions are MANDATORY for all observers & interns & Supervisors and are also open to every VUOM student.

1. more than 3 years of experience in practising in Oriental Medicine field.
2. DAOM preferred.( Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine)
3. minimal requirement;
   1) Master’s degree and License to practice in Virginia.
   2) NCCAOM(diplomate in Oriental Medicine) required in order to understand and prescribe herbs.
